3 WEEK MUSICAL THEATRE WORKSHOP PRODUCTION

This one of a kind workshop production is a first for Moonlight! Camp Crookline is an ensemble, all original musical written by former Moonlight Alumni and Carrie Marshall. In this three week workshop, students will have the opportunity to work with Moonlight founder and award-winning director, Estes Tarver! Learn process and professionalism in a fun and creative environment, with performances at Theatre Raleigh's largest new theatre! In addition, students will have the opportunity to meet with Broadway star and Theatre Raleigh founder, Lauren Kennedy Brady as well as with renowned actor, Ray Dooley! Musical Direction is with Carrie Marshall, an award-winning singer, songwriter and performing artist.
9 Teen Roles, Ages 14+

JUNE 5TH-9TH (Rehearsals from 4-9 p.m.)
JUNE 12TH-16th (Rehearsals at Moonlight Black box from 4-9 p.m.)
JUNE 19th-23rd (rehearsals and tech week at Main Stage, THEATRE RALEIGH) 4-9pm with potential extra hours TBD for Rehearsal/Tech.

SYNOPSIS
Camp Crookline is an all original musical which follows the story of 12 teens who go to summer camp and get lost in the woods while searching for the mysterious lost ring of the camp’s legendary and long-lost founder, the crazy Humphrey Crookline. Forced to work together to find their way back to camp, mishaps and hilarity ensue! Choices, trust, talking trees and wistful wildflowers, a mysterious legend, a lost love and a lost ring; the crooked paths each camper follows leads them to places they never knew they could go.
Filled with comedy, mystery, music, and a few life lessons thrown in for good measure, this show is great for the whole family!
Summer Shakespeare Sessions ONLINE
with Ray Dooley

For actors 16 and up, this class serves young actors seeking to find monologues for auditions as well as experienced actors seeking a deeper understanding and practice in working in Shakespeare. Work in the class is tailored to the individual actor and is conducted in a master-class format, with each actor working in each class. Class is capped at 5 to ensure individual instruction and begins with a pre-course interview to determine the student’s goals for the course.
ACTING & IMPROV Summer Camp for KIDS!

Ages 7-10
Time: 9 a.m.- 4 p.m.
With Rachel and Riley
Spend the week playing games and using your imaginations to create scenes and also learn to have fun acting out a script! Campers will do ACTING with RACHEL in the mornings! Learn various improv games, as well as doing some fun play activities with RILEY in the afternoon! We will build confidence, learn how to create characters and think on our feet! Summer Music Studio: Vocal Artistry or Songwriting for TEEN/ADULTS

In conjunction with Carrie Marshall Music Studios, this 5 week vocal artist intensive is for all ages and include the beginner and experienced singer, alike. The 5 week intensive includes:
4 one on one private sessions (50 minutes each)
1 group class/informal showcase (July 28th)
In private sessions, Carrie specializes in helping clients find their artistic voice and freedom with singing and artistry. From troubleshooting issues surrounding technique and vocal control, to the mental and behavioral challenges that can plague performers (performance anxiety, overthinking, confidence and stage presence, etc.) Carrie comes alongside each student to customize a vocal regimen that is applicable for them specifically, addressing their issues and concerns.
Group vocal sessions gives each student a chance to practice performing, whether it’s getting comfortable singing in front of others or workshopping a song before an audition or performance. Group sessions are a wonderful way to collaborate, gain confidence and meet other vocal artists!
The final showcase is open to the public gives us a chance to strut our stuff! After 5 weeks of study, you will be amazed at how freeing and fun performing can be!
Summer Music Studio: Vocal or Songwriting Artistry For KIDS
with Carrie Marshall

In conjunction with Carrie Marshall Music Studio, this 5 week songwriting/artist intensive is for beginning singers and those who want to grow their skills. No experience necessary! The intensive includes:
- 4 one on one private sessions! (30 minutes each)
- 1 group class/informal showcase (on Friday, July 28th 5 p.m.)
- 1 professional level showcase open to the public Friday, March 25th
Focus for this Artistry Track will be learning the fundamentals of good singing (breathing, posture, head voice/chest voice, tone and melody) as well as finding great new songs to build repetoire and confidence as a singer and vocal performer!
In private sessions, Carrie will come alongside to format a specific program tailored to each writer’s strengths and areas in need of improvement. In group songwriting sessions, we will get comfortable singing for others and connecting as a performer to the audience!
A final showcase allows the student to polish and perform a song for the public!
ACTING & MUSICAL THEATRE for KIDS!
with Lucy Moore

Work with LUCY and RILEY in this fun introductory class to the world of Acting and musical theatre! In the mornings, students will work with LUCY have a blast with Lucy in this FUN scene study class! Kids will do some small scenes and monologues. We will play games and learn some text and dialogue skills, all while having a great time! This workshop is also good for young actors interested in both stage and TV/FILM in a friendly, safe, and fun learning environment. In the afternoons, RILEY will have kids dancing, singing and staging some of Broadway’s best songs for kids! Learn basic vocal techniques, dance, movement and staging all while singing classics and Disney musical songs. Work as a team! Gain confidence as a performer and singer! Spend the mornings using your imaginations to create amazing characters and work on fun scenes from plays and youth material to be performed at a showcase on Friday! In the afternoon, students will dive into Improv games and techniques with Riley. Learn about story telling, creating fun characters, entertaining an audience, and just how to have a great time collaborating, making new friends while acting! Students will use age appropriate material, rehearse, also write some of their own stuff and perform it for an audience on Friday!! Students will work with Rachel on rehearsal and performance of scenes and original pieces! We will build confidence, learn how to create characters and think on our feet! Camp will end in a showcase for parents and Friends! Half day option is available for this camp. Email info@moonlightstageco.com if interested in half day before registering.
