Professional Actor Study Adult SUMMER SUNDAYS

Calendar Jun 5, 2022 at 1 pm, runs for 6 weeks

This class is designed for actors who have either already had serious training, are working professionally already, or have studied with Estes previously and have been admitted.  Actors seeking to work seriously in Film, Television, and Theatre.  Class will focus on scene study, building an unbreakable sense of truth, and general fine tuning of acting technique.  This class will also be a good place for working actors to work their chops. We will also touch on Dialects, and any requested work by the students.

Adult Acting Intermediate / Advanced SUMMER

$250

Calendar Jun 5, 2022 at 5 pm, runs for 6 weeks

This will be a scene study class for the intermediate to advanced actor. Actors must either have at least one year of scene study, the recommendation of the  instructor, or have had previous training. Class will focus on scene study, building an unbreakable sense of truth, and general fine tuning of acting technique. Students will work on the fundamentals of performance and character development incorporating the techniques of Uta Hagen, Sanford Meisner and Constantine Stanislavsky. Script analysis, sense of truth, and personalization will also be vital to developing your scenes and monologues. This will be a fun, safe learning environment culminating in a class showcase at the end for invited guests.

Payment plan available: $50 deposit plus 2 payments of $66.66, paid weekly. Final payment of $66.68.

Adult Acting Fundamentals SUMMER SUNDAYS

This will be an introductory class for the new or beginning actor focusing on the basics of acting, scene study, performance technique, working in a collaborative setting, and the techniques of Uta Hagen, Stanislavsky, and Sanford Meisner. Students will also focus on building their sense of play in a group setting and a safe environment. The beginnings of script analysis, sense of truth, and personalization will also be achieved. Commercial work will also be addressed as well as on camera technique. This will be a fun and safe learning environment culminating in a class showcase at the end for invited guests.

Adult Improv Scene-work Summer Intensive

Learning the tools to be a great scene partner and to make a scene interesting is a must for any improviser. How do we avoid talking in circles? How can I define the relationship between characters? How do I make connections and listen? In this 4 week course we will dive into how to build successful scenes. Expect more direction and feedback then in an intro class. And expect to end the session with the skills to create great improvised scenes!

Payment plan available: $75 deposit plus 2 payments of $62.50, paid weekly.

SUMMER VOCAL INTENSIVE Ages 15+

Summer Vocal Intensive - Ages 15+ 

Love to sing? Dive deeper and build core foundation for vocal work and performance. This intensive lasts four weeks. Each student will come to class with (at least) two song choices of contrasting style to workshop. In addition,  each session will delve into these topics: 

 1 - It begins with the breath - proper breathing, posture tricks and tension relievers to give us the power and proper tone for singing.

 2 - Ear Training and Scales - get more comfortable with the building blocks for singing great melodies and nailing the pitch!

 3 - Agility and Strength - learn techniques and exercises to build and develop your voice and navigate vocal registers.

 4 - Performance Practice - an informal session showcase where we will practice what we preach! Learn how to put it all together, deal with nerves, and still have FUN!

Payment plan available: $50 deposit plus 2 payments of $75.00, paid weekly.

TWO WEEK Actor-Filmmaker Summer Camp

This TWO WEEK Camp starting June 13th will dive into creating content for Moonlight's YouTube Channel as well as Short Film Projects for Students. You DO NOT HAVE TO BE AN ACTOR. If you are interested in Editing, Acting, Writing, Camera Work, or Production, this camp is for you! You can do any and all of these aspects of Filmmaking. Camp will be ages 13 + as we will also be going to locations to shoot so TEENS and Young Adults will need Permission to leave the premises. We may also shoot at night some. TBD on that. Students will learn about Acting, Directing, Writing, Production, and how to make Films! They will work on Projects for Moonlights YouTube as well as their own projects of interest. Camp will be limited to 15 students so reserve your slot asap! Questions about this camp in particular you can email Estes at etarver@mac.com.

Shakespeare Sessions SUMMER

For actors 16 and up, this class serves young actors seeking to find monologues for auditions as well as experienced actors seeking a deeper understanding and practice in working in Shakespeare.  Work in the class is tailored to the individual actor and is conducted in a master-class format, with each student working in each class.  Class is capped at 6 to ensure individual instruction and begins with a pre-course interview to determine the student’s goals for the course.
