September Songwriter's Circle

A weekly, welcoming online meet up of songwriters to share songs, ideas, inspiration and get feedback from peers in an artistically safe environment. This class is ongoing. The last week of the month we also meet in-person (and will still Zoom in those who can't make it in to Moonlight!). Each session will also have an instruction/discussions on various songwriting topics culled from the group as well as writer prompts and fun songwriting challenges. Come share your music with us! All ability levels welcome, lyricists, musicians, etc. Come get inspired!

Learning Fundamentals of Short Form and Long Form Improv. Breaking down the importance of warm ups, scene work, teamwork, skill building exercises, games, and forms. This class is heavily built around the philosophy of having fun while consistently applying what we learn. There is no failing when you see it through. There will be one or two showcases before the semester is over.

This will be an introductory class for the new or beginning actor focusing on the basics of acting, scene study, performance technique, working in a collaborative setting, and the techniques of Uta Hagen, Stanislavsky, and Sanford Meisner. Students will also focus on building their sense of play in a group setting and a safe environment. The beginnings of script analysis, sense of truth, and personalization will also be achieved. Commercial work will also be addressed as well as on camera technique. This will be a fun and safe learning environment culminating in a class showcase at the end for invited guests.
Comedy Writing Stand Up/Sketch

A writing class that will focus on writing topical and personal comedic material. Comedy writing focused on sketch comedy and stand-up. Learn how to write different styles of jokes from topical jokes, act outs, play on words, to jokes based on life experiences. The sketch writing will focus on writing comedy monologues, as seen on late-night shows, to different types of sketches, from commercials to character-based sketches.
Adult Acting Intermediate / Advanced

This will be a scene study class for the intermediate to advanced actor. Actors must either have at least one year of scene study, the recommendation of the instructor, or have had previous training. Class will focus on scene study, building an unbreakable sense of truth, and general fine tuning of acting technique. Students will work on the fundamentals of performance and character development incorporating the techniques of Uta Hagen, Sanford Meisner and Constantine Stanislavsky. Script analysis, sense of truth, and personalization will also be vital to developing your scenes and monologues. This will be a fun, safe learning environment culminating in a class showcase at the end for invited guests.
The Art of Dramatic Writing 16+

Come learn the basics of drama and take your creative impulse to finished script. The Art of Dramatic Writing will be fun and informative - all you need to bring is your imagination! We’ll write, read scripts, write, discuss drama, and write. Whether you love movies or theater or TV, if writing is something you want to do, come get kickstarted with this class.
Professional Actor Study Adult

This class is designed for actors who have either already had serious training, are working professionally already, or have studied with Estes previously and have been admitted. Actors seeking to work seriously in Film, Television, and Theatre. Class will focus on scene study, building an unbreakable sense of truth, and general fine tuning of acting technique. This class will also be a good place for working actors to work their chops. We will also touch on Dialects, and any requested work by the students.
Dance for the Actor Ages 16+

And a - FIVE, SIX, SEVEN, EIGHT! Are you ready to learn how to walk into the dance audition and NAIL IT? In this class we will learn how to execute the musical theatre dance moves you need to know and how to pick up the choreography quickly in a fast paced audition environment. When you leave this class you'll be ready to nail your next audition! This will be an active, fun, and energetic class so comfortable clothes and dance or closed-toe shoes are recommended.
