This will be an introductory class for the new or beginning actor focusing on the basics of acting, scene study, performance technique, working in a collaborative setting, and the techniques of Uta Hagen, Stanislavsky, and Sanford Meisner. Students will also focus on building their sense of play in a group setting and a safe environment. The beginnings of script analysis, sense of truth, and personalization will also be achieved. Commercial work will also be addressed as well as on camera technique. This class is for teenagers with a desire to learn more about acting, script analysis, character, and world building through the exploration of scenes and monologues. In a comfortable and fun learning environment we will focus on the the personalization of scenes and relationships to scene partners. The Moonlight Summer Film Academy is a 3 week FULL DAY intensive  program primarily for actors to develop and sharpen their acting skills through one act plays and scene work. This will culminate in a two ticketed event at Moonlight's blackbox theatre. They will also build their marketing materials through shooting professional quality demo reels. There will also be a select positions for those interested in filmmaking, and an assistant director/stage management position for the live shows.
