This class is designed for actors who have either already had serious training, are working professionally already, have a theatre degree, or have studied with Estes previously and have been admitted. It is for Actors seeking to work professionally in Film, Television, and Theatre or to work at that level.  Class will focus on scene study, building an unbreakable sense of truth, and general fine tuning of acting technique.  This class will also be a good place for working actors to work their chops. We will also touch on Dialects, and any requested work by the students. $50.00 Non-refundable deposit to reserve a spot. Teen Scene Study

This class is for teenagers with a desire to learn more about acting, script analysis, character, and world building through the exploration of scenes and monologues. In a comfortable and fun learning environment we will focus on the the personalization of scenes and relationships to scene partners. Students will learn and hone key tools including objective, obstacle, actions, and physicality, while encouraging their inner confidence and playfulness. It is the goal to have every student give themselves permission to stretch the limits of what they believe a scene or monologue contains so that they can reach the heights of their imagination and take the journey to becoming a great actor with disciplined but fun and imaginative technique. $50.00 non-refundable deposit to hold a spot.

Teen Advanced Acting

This is an advanced acting class designed for actors who have already studied with Estes or have significant performance experience. Admitance into class will be by interview/audition only or through previous work with Estes. Techniques for Stage, Television, and Film will be addressed as well as skills working towards bold, strong character choices and professional level acting skills. Some current students are already working professionally or auditioning and performing regularly in theatre, film, and television. That is certainly not a requirement but must be committed to learning. $50.00 Non-refundable deposit to hold a spot.

This crazy scene study class will have the kids doing some great kids scenes and also most will work on a monologue. We will have fun playing games and doing small scenes. They will learn some text skills and dialogue skills while having fun and being engaged! This class is also good for young actors interested in both stage and TV/FILM. We are excited to introduce Sydney, a wonderful instructor who will create a friendly, safe, and fun learning environment and has been a member of the Moonlight program for years. $50.00 Non-refundable deposit.

This will be an introductory class for the new or beginning actor focusing on the basics of acting, scene study, performance technique, working in a collaborative setting, and the techniques of Uta Hagen, Stanislavsky, and Sanford Meisner. Students will also focus on building their sense of play in a group setting and a safe environment. The beginnings of script analysis, sense of truth, and personalization will also be achieved. Commercial work will also be addressed as well as on camera technique. This will be a fun and safe learning environment culminating in a class showcase at the end for invited guests. $50.00 Non-refundable deposit to hold a spot.

Tween Acting Fundamentals

This class is designed to give young actors a foundational knowledge of acting principles and practice working with comedic and dramatic texts. In an open and comfortable learning environment, students will explore ways to find the fun story of a scene. Class will use games and exercises to help build the reality of the world, create a character’s perspective and motivation, and explore the arc of their relationships. Students will study acting fundamentals including blocking, story arc, character development and also the exploration of audition technique and acting for stage and film. We will learn that there’s no way to do it right, there is the personal way of each actor. and that all the play we explore in class fits right into the world of an audition! The goal of this class is to encourage new and returning actors to go into their Showcase, classes and beyond with a firm, confident foundation under their feet and a hunger to learn and play more. A $50 deposit is required to hold a space in the class.

A comedy writing session on all things sketch comedy. From writing sketches, to using improvisation to create sketches and characters on the spot. Learn how to write different styles of sketches, from character based sketches, parodies, to premise based sketches. Being your sketches to life with a variation of filmed & live sketches. The class will end with a sketch comedy showcase.

This is a fun class to get your feet wet in the world of comedy and content creation.

Improv for Teens

Join us for fun and play! In this 8 week course we will learn the rules of scene work, building characters, supporting our classmates and trusting our ideas. We will work on letting go of our instinct to be self conscious, and build confidence in a safe environment where everyone is supported. Learning and performing improv will build skills and confidence that are useful both on and off stage. All skill and experience levels are welcome! Join us for eight weeks of fun and creating and a showcase!
