LEVEL 1 VOCAL PERFORMANCE TROUPE
with Carrie Marshall

This new, level 1 Moonlight Vocal Troupe is for singers age 11+ who'd like to dive deeper into harmonies, ear training and vocal performance! We will be singing contemporary music from pop, country, jazz and more! This troupe will be working towards public performances at Moonlight and within the Raleigh/Triangle area.
This class is for students who have previous vocal training and/or experience. Feel free to reach out to Carrie for more information and to set up an audition.
LEVEL 2 VOCAL PERFORMANCE TROUPE
with Carrie Marshall

Moonlight meets Pitch Perfect! This level 2 Vocal Troupe is for singers age 14+ who are performance ready. Students must be able to sing harmonies and feel comfortable with carrying solos for performances at Moonlight and around the Triangle
This class is for students who have previous vocal training and/or experience. Feel free to reach out to Carrie for more information and to set up an audition.
ARTISTRY TRACK (Vocal Artistry for KIDS) 30 minutes
with Carrie Marshall

In conjunction with Carrie Marshall Music, this 12 week vocal artist intensive is for young singers just beginning their journey into singing! Carrie will format a specific program tailored to each individual, teaching singing fundamentals such as breathing, relaxation, pitch, ear training and more! We will begin building song repertoire, tailored to the student's interests.
The intensive includes:
8 30 minute, private sessions
3 group classes (held on Fridays 5-6:30 p.m.)
1 showcase
Group vocal sessions gives each student a chance to practice performing, whether it’s getting comfortable singing in front of others, sharing original material or workshopping a song before an audition or performance. Group sessions are a wonderful way to collaborate, gain confidence and meet other vocal artists and songwriters!
The final showcase is open to the public gives us a chance to strut our stuff!

with Carrie Marshall

In conjunction with Carrie Marshall Music, this 12 week vocal artist intensive is for singers OR songwriters. Carrie will format a specific program tailored to each individual. All levels welcome, from beginner to professional!
The intensive includes:
8 45 minute, private sessions
3 group classes (held on Fridays 5-6:30 p.m.)
1 showcase
In private sessions, Carrie specializes in helping clients find their artistic voice and freedom with singing & performance artistry. From troubleshooting issues surrounding technique & vocal control, to the mental and behavioral challenges that can plague performers (performance anxiety, confidence and stage presence, etc.) Carrie comes alongside each student to customize a vocal regimen that is applicable for them specifically, addressing their issues and concerns.
Songwriters will explore their unique voice and writing style. Focus will be on the craft of songwriting, song and harmonic structure, lyrics and music theory.
Group vocal sessions gives each student a chance to practice performing, whether it’s getting comfortable singing in front of others, sharing original material or workshopping a song before an audition or performance. Group sessions are a wonderful way to collaborate, gain confidence and meet other vocal artists and songwriters!

Voice for the Actor Sept/Oct (Not a singing class)

Are you looking for ways to stay present and spontaneous with your scene partner? Want to loosen up as an actor? Trying to get out of your head? Want to try something new? Enter, the mVm Miller Voice Method®!
For actors 16 and up, this class will introduce you to mVm Miller Voice Method®, a breath and voice-centered acting technique that facilitates a more present, charismatic, responsive, flexible, and resilient physical instrument. Students will integrate and practice their skills with a range of acting materials (film sides, theatrical scenes, etc.). Appropriate for intermediate actors and seasoned professionals looking to expand the tools in their repertoire.
mVm was founded by Scott Miller (Faculty at NYU Tisch Graduate Acting) and is taught in MFA programs around the country, including at NYU Tisch, SMU, Brooklyn College, and UNC.

Ali Evarts is an actor, writer, and Certified mVm Teacher. In addition to her arts work, she has served as the the General Manager of mVm for the last 4 years.
Mason Cordell singer, actor, speech-language pathologist, and Certified mVm Teacher.
Ali Evarts is an actor, writer, producer, and teacher living in Raleigh, NC. Recent credit highlights include Yellow Face (Theatre Raleigh); Venus in Fur (Moonlight Stage Company); Steel Magnolias (NCT); Mary’s Wedding, Glass Menagerie, and Unnecessary Farce (RhinoLeap Productions); Thespian (Amazon & Amazon Prime). She is a Certified mVm Miller Voice Method® Teacher and the General Manager of mVm. She also writes and produces narrative non-fiction stories of environmental conservation from around the world for the World Wildlife Fund. Education: UNC-Chapel Hill. Mason Cordell is currently works as a singer, actor, teacher and speech-language pathologist. A versatile performer, Mason has performed in operas, musicals, classic and new plays, studied long-form improvisation and sketch writing in Chicago, and has sung professionally for various churches. Based in North Carolina, he has also performed in New York, Chicago, and internationally. Desiring to turn a lifelong fascination with the voice into expertise, Mason returned to school and became a speech-language pathologist in which role he has worked with people of varying abilities from young children to older adults on all aspects of communication. Most recently, Mason became certified as a teacher of Miller Voice Method, and in his role as a voice teacher hopes to bring all his professional experiences together to help students to explore and realize their vocal potentials.
