VOCAL ARTISTRY PERFORMANCE TROUPE

This brand new Moonlight Vocal Troupe is for singers age 12+ who'd like to dive deeper into harmonies, ear training and vocal performance! We will be singing contemporary music from pop, country, jazz and more! This troupe will be working towards public performances at Moonlight and within the Raleigh/Triangle area.
This class is for students who have previous vocal training and/or experience. Feel free to reach out to Carrie for more information and to set up an audition.
Summer Songwriter's Circle- JUNE
with Carrie Marshall

It's back! A weekly, welcoming meet up of songwriters of all ages and abilities! Come to share songs, ideas, inspiration and get feedback from peers in an artistically safe environment. Each session will also have an instruction/discussions on various songwriting topics culled from the group as well as writer prompts and fun songwriting challenges. Come share your music with us! All ability levels welcome, lyricists, musicians, etc. Come get inspired!

Summer Shakespeare Sessions ONLINE
with Ray Dooley

For actors 16 and up, this class serves young actors seeking to find monologues for auditions as well as experienced actors seeking a deeper understanding and practice in working in Shakespeare. Work in the class is tailored to the individual actor and is conducted in a master-class format, with each actor working in each class. Class is capped at 5 to ensure individual instruction and begins with a pre-course interview to determine the student’s goals for the course.
Professional Actor Study Adult
with Estes Tarver

This class is designed for actors who have either already had serious training, are working professionally already, or have studied with Estes previously and have been admitted. Actors seeking to work or are already working seriously in Film, Television, and Theatre. Class will focus on scene study, building an unbreakable sense of truth, and general fine tuning of acting technique. This class will also be a good place for working actors to work their chops. We will also touch on Dialects, and any requested work by the students. $50.00 Non-refundable deposit to reserver a spot. Also there will be no class July 16th. So week 4 of 7 will be off. (though may have a rehearsal day for those who want to use it). 6 Class meetings total with Estes.

Adult Acting Intermediate / Advanced
with Estes Tarver

This will be a scene study class for the intermediate to advanced actor. Actors must either have at least one year of scene study, the recommendation of the instructor, or have had previous training. Class will focus on scene study, building an unbreakable sense of truth, and general fine tuning of acting technique. Students will work on the fundamentals of performance and character development incorporating the techniques of Uta Hagen, Sanford Meisner and Constantine Stanislavsky. Script analysis, sense of truth, and personalization will also be vital to developing your scenes and monologues. This will be a fun, safe learning environment culminating in a class showcase at the end for invited guests.

Adult Fundamentals SUNDAY NIGHT SECTION
with Estes Tarver

This will be an introductory class for the new or beginning actor focusing on the basics of acting, scene study, performance technique, working in a collaborative setting, and the techniques of Uta Hagen, Stanislavsky, and Sanford Meisner. Students will also focus on building their sense of play in a group setting and a safe environment. The beginnings of script analysis, sense of truth, and personalization will also be achieved. Commercial work will also be addressed as well as on camera technique. This will be a fun and safe learning environment culminating in a class showcase at the end for invited guests.

Vocal or Songwriting Artistry for TEEN/ADULTS
with Carrie Marshall

In conjunction with Carrie Marshall Music Studios, this 5 week vocal artist intensive is for all ages and include the beginner and experienced singer, alike. The 6 week intensive includes:
4 one on one private sessions (50 minutes each)
2 group class/informal showcase (July 28th)
In private sessions, Carrie specializes in helping clients find their artistic voice and freedom with singing and artistry. From troubleshooting issues surrounding technique and vocal control, to the mental and behavioral challenges that can plague performers (performance anxiety, overthinking, confidence and stage presence, etc.) Carrie comes alongside each student to customize a vocal regimen that is applicable for them specifically, addressing their issues and concerns.
Group vocal sessions gives each student a chance to practice performing, whether it’s getting comfortable singing in front of others or workshopping a song before an audition or performance. Group sessions are a wonderful way to collaborate, gain confidence and meet other vocal artists!
The final showcase is open to the public gives us a chance to strut our stuff! After 5 weeks of study, you will be amazed at how freeing and fun performing can be!
Vocal or Songwriting Artistry For KIDS
with Carrie Marshall

In conjunction with Carrie Marshall Music Studio, this 5 week songwriting/artist intensive is for beginning singers and those who want to grow their skills. No experience necessary! The intensive includes:
- 5 one on one private sessions! (30 minutes each)- 1 group class/informal showcase (on Friday, July 28th 5 p.m.)
- 1 professional level showcase open to the public Friday, March 25th
Focus for this Artistry Track will be learning the fundamentals of good singing (breathing, posture, head voice/chest voice, tone and melody) as well as finding great new songs to build repetoire and confidence as a singer and vocal performer!
In private sessions, Carrie will come alongside to format a specific program tailored to each writer’s strengths and areas in need of improvement. In group songwriting sessions, we will get comfortable singing for others and connecting as a performer to the audience!
A final showcase allows the student to polish and perform a song for the public!
